Our garden designs combine aesthetic appeal with modern design – yet sustainability, ecology and biodiversity are increasingly becoming the focus of attention. We are convinced that this is possible! That is why we also design natural gardens with sustainable planting concepts using native and site-appropriate plants.
We incorporate existing plants and materials into our designs (reuse) and use them to create something new (upcycling). This results in valuable, diverse habitats for humans and animals.
We also attach great importance to unsealing, rainwater retention and direct infiltration – in line with the sponge city principle.
Natural alternatives to traditional garden design:

2. Proposal for discussion
As planting designers at Salathé Rentzel, we will draw up a proposal for you with a planting plan, planting list and possibly mood boards. We will then be happy to explain these to you in a joint meeting.
3. Selecting plants
We would be happy to help you select solitary plants at the tree nursery. There, you can get a better overall impression of the plants and better imagine how they will look in your garden.
4. Good care and a little patience
The garden shortly after its redesign and replanting in Japanese style. Now it's time to be patient and ensure it is well cared for.
5. The planting in full splendour
Two years after planting, everything has grown beautifully and is producing the desired effect.
